We find these therapy swings are particularly useful for kids who need a bit of a break after a hectic day at childcare or school.

This swing has a weight capacity of 90 kg. It comes with a hardware kit to allow for installation in different ways. If you have a suitably supportive bar or stand at home it can simply be hung on the bar. Alternatively there are attachments for securing to other surfaces (see picture of hardware included). Any hanging point must have a suitable weight resistance to ensure safety.

Images include sensory swing being used with our Dream Chair Stand. The swing can be attached to the stand, however depending on the size of the user and the way the swing is used the stand may not be suitable for everyone due to the clearance. Videos show the swing being used in the stand with two children under the age of 5 years.

Safety Guidelines:

• While there is no age set for this product a general rule is that a child should be old enough to climb in and out of the seat by themselves and understand the need for safe use
• This product is not a toy and is not intended to be used as a swing
• Adult supervision is recommended at all times

Please note: if installing as a stand alone resource it is important to work with a suitably qualified handyman for assistance with installing to a beam. If installing to a beam you need to take care to ensure the beam is stable and can hold the weight of the chair when in use. The manufacturer suggests first assessing the wooden beam for suitability, then drilling a hole to install a hook in the beam for the pod to attach to. If attaching to a beam and there's no hook on the beam some additional manual labour is needed to assemble using attachments included. Recommended height off the ground is 30 cm to 1 m.
